Anna Joos | Associate Planner
Anna is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where she majored in Economics and Environmental Studies. During her time studying abroad in Copenhagen, with a course concentration in Sustainable Development in Northern Europe paired with a course on Strategies of Urban Livability, her passion and interest in transportation planning grew. As a student, Anna worked at Clean Wisconsin, a non-profit in Madison, where she used her economic analysis skills to estimate health outcomes from increased nitrate levels in drinking water, along with the increased economic costs associated with poor health outcomes. The published report was used to advocate for an acceptable maximum level of nitrates in Wisconsin drinking water, improving the health and lives of Wisconsin residents.
While at TMD, she has supported a variety of projects with proposed frequency and span analysis, along with current service evaluations. With her expertise in sustainable development and her understanding of urban economic trends, she hopes to help reduce inequality and increase access to good, clean transportation for all.
