The Master Transit Plan for the Pocatello, Idaho region identified how Pocatello Regional Transit can better serve the region, both today and in the future, by focusing service where there are market opportunities and adopting best practice service delivery options. The project included a comprehensive assessment of the existing market, including a full land use and zoning policy review, and service conditions. This assessment, coupled with input from stakeholders and the public, guided the development of the Master Transit Plan recommendations. Stakeholder and public outreach occurred throughout the project through open houses, pop-up events, and a variety of online and in-person surveys. The public called for new service delivery options, including bidirectional service and more frequency, as well as a stronger, more direct network. The plan was completed in April 2018.
