The Mountain View Community Shuttle had been operating with electric cutaway buses. They were at the end of their useful life, the previous maintenance and charging location would no longer be available, and the City was extending the span of service resulting in the likelihood that vehicles could no longer provide service on a full charge. This study analyzed vehicle options, charging alternatives and operations strategies, and developed recommendations for a path forward continuing shuttle operation with electric vehicles.
