TMD reviewed and analyzed DART’s scheduling workforce levels, staff assignments, responsibilities, and scheduling staff skills, proficiency, and comfort levels using TrapezeTM FX modules. Recommendations included organizational changes to improve DART’s scheduling workflow, practices, and policies.

TMD also rescheduled all DART local and express service and recalibrated running times. Additionally, all local service intervals on Weekday, Saturday, and Sunday schedules were adjusted to conform with uniform clockface frequencies, and an added early AM span was provided. As well, one new weekday crosstown route, the recommended element of a prior TMD study, was included. This work was then input directly to the DART TrapezeTM FX/ Blockbuster scheduling software program, which included the following routine scheduling aspects for each service day: Trip Building by route, Blocking, Runcutting, and Rostering.
