Des Moines DART 2035 Plan implementation is moving forward with TMD technical support in service planning and scheduling. In August 2018, DART will be implementing systemwide service changes designed to make schedules more customer-friendly. Many routes will see increased frequency during the midday, as well as earlier morning and later evening trips. Over the past few months, TMD and DART have been working closely together to refine the schedules and modify trip times based on a detailed running time analysis completed at the end of 2017. This past month, TMD and DART conducted surveys and held public meetings to collect feedback on the proposed service changes. The DART Board of Commissioners approved the service changes during its May 1st meeting.
