TMD assisted VIA in identifying rapid transit corridors throughout the San Antonio region. As part of this effort, TMD conducted a detailed assessment of VIA’s existing fixed-route transit services and evaluated various potential BRT/Rapid Bus alignments within the study area. TMD developed a detailed service plan and provided technical guidance for implementation. TMD’s service plan included estimated operating costs, and route alignment maps, as well as recommended operating procedures, stop spacing and locations, vehicle types, frequency, and service span.
