Eamon returned to his hometown of San Diego to join TMD, where he applies his regional transportation planning and GIS experience to study travel patterns, draft service recommendations, and provide detailed research and analysis of transit system performance and passenger surveys to improve the rider experience. Prior to TMD, he worked at the Shasta Regional Transportation Agency (SRTA), where he led a broad range of planning projects focused on improving mobility for people and reducing the environmental impact of travel in a low-density region. He managed state and federal public transit grants, planned the relaunch of a free bus service to expand access to outdoor recreation, designed public outreach campaigns, and represented the agency at meetings and multiple regional councils. Before his time at SRTA, he spent three years in Medellín, Colombia, studying and working in education, GIS, and bicycle advocacy. He feels lucky to work in a field that is key to encouraging regional accessibility, reducing socioeconomic disparities, and mitigating the effects of climate change.
