TMD is working with LA Metro to develop a pilot program to test headway-based operations on a few of their major routes. Implementing headway-based operation was part of the LA NextGen Bus Plan which radically redesigned the bus network in Los Angeles County.

Due to constrained space, a new transit center will be built approximately three blocks from the current location as part of the Downtown revitalization. This study is developing a new route structure to serve the new transit center and improve access throughout the community.
